GuidesCard payments with Stripe
Take card payments
with Stripe.
Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay go through your own Stripe account. You create it from your anyshop dashboard, Stripe checks your details and turns card payments on, and every payment lands in your Stripe balance. anyshop delivers what was bought and keeps the evidence of it.
Create your Stripe account
You create your Stripe account from your anyshop dashboard. Stripe hosts the form and checks your identity and business itself: anyshop never sees your ID documents or your bank account number.
- Open Payments, then Connect a rail, then Card and wallets.
- Choose Create my Stripe account. anyshop asks for a fresh two-factor code first.
- anyshop creates the account with your store's name and currency and your sign-in email. Stripe's own form then opens on the same page and asks for your business details, your identity and the bank account Stripe pays you out to.
- Back on the page, Stripe's answer shows: Waiting on Stripe while it checks your details, Action needed when it needs more from you, and Connected once it has turned card payments on.
Checkout offers cards only once Stripe has turned card payments on for your account. The account is yours, with Stripe's full Dashboard.
Where the money goes
Every card payment is made on your own Stripe account and lands in your Stripe balance. anyshop adds no fee to it and never holds the money. Stripe collects its own fees from your account, and pays you out to your bank on Stripe's schedule.

What the buyer sees
Before any card field, checkout shows who sells: your legal name, address and country, and your phone number when you gave one. You fill these in under Settings, Business details. A live checkout takes no payment until they are complete.
The buyer pays by card, with Apple Pay or Google Pay on devices that offer them, or with Link. Card details are typed into Stripe's own form on the page and never reach anyshop. Once Stripe confirms the payment, the buyer gets what they bought on screen and by email.
Refunds
Refund an order from its page in your dashboard, in full or in part. The refund is made on your Stripe account, and the buyer's email says where the money goes back to: the card they paid with, or through Link. A refund you make in Stripe's Dashboard shows on the order too.
Disputes
When a buyer disputes a card payment, the order shows the dispute, we email you, and your webhook endpoints get dispute.created. Stripe takes the disputed amount and its dispute fee from your Stripe balance, and you answer the dispute in your Stripe Dashboard.
Each order keeps the evidence of delivery for that answer, under Dispute evidence on the order's page:
- the buyer's country and device at checkout;
- when the key, license or file was shown on screen after payment, or that it was delivered and not opened yet;
- whether the delivery email was sent;
- how many times the buyer viewed their keys, and from how many devices;
- how many earlier orders the same buyer made.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect Stripe from the Stripe page at any time, with a fresh two-factor code. Checkout stops offering cards at once, and payments already started on the account still finish.
